Visit our senior center to make friends, learn new skills, and enjoy different activities.
Since 1971, our local team at Evangeline Council on Aging has been focused on helping seniors throughout our community live out their golden years while caring for their mental, physical, and emotional health. We know that many older individuals can struggle with feelings of loneliness and isolation, so we strive to combat these emotions by offering a wide range of activities at our senior center.
Those who visit our senior center can choose from all types of activities, classes, and clubs to make new friends, practice their hobbies, and even learn new things. Whether you want to improve your physical fitness, head out on the town, or enjoy arts and crafts, we’re confident we have something on our calendar that will appeal to you. And if you don’t have a way to get to our senior center on your own, we can offer transportation services to accommodate you.
As people get older and retire, it’s essential for them to find ways to stay active and socialize with their peers. Nobody thrives in isolation, and staying home every day can negatively impact your mental and physical well-being. Our organization exists to connect seniors with new friends and resources to enhance their lives, so we encourage you to take advantage of the services we’re happy to provide.
