We offer home help for seniors in our local community.
Our caring team at the Evangeline Council on Aging has been providing services and resources for seniors in the Evangeline Parish, Louisiana area since 1971. Our top priority is helping seniors enjoy the golden years of their lives, and we offer a wide range of activities, classes, and social outings to encourage our aging community members to remain engaged, active, and socially connected.
In addition to the numerous services that we provide in our recreation center, we also offer home help for seniors. Daily home help services are great for disabled or elderly individuals who may have difficulty performing everyday tasks on their own, such as dressing themselves, preparing meals, and more.
Home help for seniors mostly involves taking care of individual health and hygiene tasks, but our team is happy to go above and beyond to help our aging community members maintain their homes, too. For example, we can assist with light housekeeping tasks to keep their home comfortable and neat. This is all part of our mission to help seniors maintain their independence and continue to live as independently as possible in their own homes.
Our staff members know that many seniors struggle with feelings isolation and loneliness, so we strive to reach out frequently to offer our genuine support and compassion. Since many of the seniors in our area do not have family nearby, our home help for seniors includes telephone services if needed.
If you or a loved one need extra support, we are here to help. Contact us today to learn more about the home help for seniors we offer and how we can help you thrive in the later years of your life.
