Our compassionate team offers plenty of services through the Medicaid program.
Since 1971, our team here at Evangeline Council on Aging has been dedicated to serving elderly folks throughout the Ville Platte, Louisiana community. Thanks to the Medicaid program, we’re able to provide a range of services to seniors and people with disabilities, including home and community-based services (HCBS) and non-emergency transportation services.
HCBS waivers allow those on Medicaid to receive routine care in the comfort of their own homes instead of at a nursing home or hospital. This simple service makes it possible for people to maintain their independence and live in their own homes while still getting the extra care they need to thrive. When you contact our team for assistance with HCBS Medicaid services, you can rest easy knowing that our licensed, compassionate staff will give you the personalized care you need.
We also recognize that many elderly people and those with disabilities are unable to drive themselves, which can increase feelings of loneliness and isolation. That’s why, as part of our Medicaid services, we provide transportation options to help Medicaid recipients get to their medical appointments. We believe that it’s essential for people to connect with one another and enjoy activities outside the home, so we encourage residents to utilize our transportation services whenever necessary.
