Our public, senior, & disabled ride services help ensure you get where you need to go safely.
Being able to get from place to place is a critical aspect of maintaining a healthy, happy lifestyle, but it can be an increasingly difficult task for seniors or those with disabilities that impact their mobility. At the Evangeline Council on Aging, we proudly offer a wide range of assistance programs for those in our community who need extra support, including public, senior, & disabled rides. From occasional trips to the doctor’s office to weekly grocery shopping, our fleet of transit vehicles and team of friendly drivers are ready to help you get where you need to go.
We provide assistance for disadvantaged and aging members of the Mamou, Louisiana community. While most of our services are for the elderly and disabled, our transportation services are open to all members of the community. Trip fares are determined by the mileage of the journey, and we will discuss this with you prior to completing a trip booking request.
Our goal in providing public, senior, & disabled rides is to help those who need extra assistance maintain the ability to socialize, handle essential errands, and get from place to place safely. In addition to providing transportation to appointments and essential tasks like grocery shopping, we’re also happy to help members of our community get to events and activities in the area. We love helping locals stay engaged and involved, and providing transportation services is just one way we work to build and maintain community in our area.
Because we focus on serving senior and disabled members of our community, all of the vehicles in our fleet are equipped with lifts or ramps for those who need mobility assistance. Our staff is punctual and friendly, and our public, senior, & disabled rides are easy to schedule. If you or a loved one needs transportation assistance, we invite you to contact us to learn more about our program and how we can help!
